One of the many questions that we get here at Joey-Lynn's Flowers is: "what flowers are the best for Thanksgiving?"
Well most people who have this question are in the market to send a lovely festive bouquet to a loved one on Thanksgiving and It helps to see the variety of gorgeous fall blossoms that the season has to offer. However we can suggest the best of the best of the season right over the phone without having you to stop in our shop.
Some of the blossoms that can help send a feeling of warmth and gratitude are the comfort blossoms that we like to call them. These are such blooms like chrysanthemums with their rich earth tones in amber and mustard, carnations with their cheerful vibrant hues like red and purple, roses with their rich tones of crimesom and orange and hydrangeas with their bountifulness in presence.
Together when these flowers are designed in a Thanksgiving bouquet the outcome is cozy elegance: the best of both worlds. Most of the blossoms are soft in colors with sparks of vibrants mixed in. We also add lots of little extra blossoms to round out the arrangement as well such as twigs, pheasant feathers, pine cones, a small feather monarch butterfly and the likes. Even apples are added to our Thanksgiving arrangements if you like. These extra touches are what make a Thanksgiving bouquet special and well rounded.
The host will love the fact that this centerpiece is feastive, bright and welcoming and that she can display it in the center of the table. An average size arrangement is approximately 18" long by about 12" high that size being the best fit for a dinning room table. If the table is opened up with the leaf included then a slightly larger size arrangement would be more suitable such as a 24" long by about 12" high.
So, just remember to ask the florist what festive blooms are recommended for the holiday and what they have available as they are the specialist whom will create your vision into a reality.
I hope this helps answer some of you of your questions of what flowers should I send for Thanksgiving.
With gratitude and warm wishes,
Joey-Lynn of Joey-Lynn's Flowers
