Are you curious as of what type of flowers you should send as a sympathy arrangement? A lot of calls come through our shop asking us what type of flowers should I send to the recipient's home and what type of arrangement should I send to the service. As a florist and business owner of Joey-Lynn's Flowers for over 30 years I hear this common question quite a lot usually a day of two before the service. With so many beautiful seasonal flower choices to decide over It's no wonder the confusion.
So this is the advice I give when a last minute call comes through our end. Most condolences bouquets are elegant in color usually creamy vanilla whites or light lavender with soft green hues unless the customer wants a custom designed tribute arrangement then the colors they choose should represent the beloved's favorite flower color. The size all depends on the price point they are looking to spend with different size options for different levels of cost. Most designs range from 74.95 to 149.95 for a design be delivered to the home and 99.95 to 249.95 going to the service. Of course there are multiple sizes and prices in between but this is just a general rule of thumb for us.
Lilies, garden roses, tulips, hydrangeas, stock, delphinium, orchids and others are our suggestions for a condolences design. We offer beautiful vessels as well such as tall modern glass cylinder vases and lower modern glass cube style vases.
Sympathies from the immediate family will most likely be sending flowers because they will be ordering the flowers as tributes for their loved one such as a casket spray, standing spray, heart, cross, or urn design. Peace lilies and plants such as orchids or basket arrangements are also great choices to send to either the home or the service as well.
Just ask your local florist to help with your budget and size and most likely they will offer great options which are sure to meet your expectations.
I hope this helps. Best wishes.
